Took me more than 200 hours to get platinum god. Keep at it, it's an amazing game.
Hey, if I didn't stop playing Ruby after 450 hours I ain't gonna stop playing a game after 14 :P Now 17, I think.
Finally! After about 9 painful hours, I finally beat Dead Space 3's Pure Survival mode, and the Awakened DLC! :D
So... Many... Necromorphs...
Im going to try and beat Ratchet and Clank all 4 one and Jak 1 but i got the all stars plat for my new account
First game of the year, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. It got really hard at the end, I have no idea how I beat it as a kid.

I bought the hd version of that game this year and I was dreading that final battle because before I always failed it no matter how well prepared I was, I was just not strong enough. This time around I leveled up as much as my patience allowed it and that fight was surprisingly challenging but not so much that I didn't have fun. And I beat it.
I think as kids we play games that are really challenging and sometimes impossible for us to beat but then we go back later as an adult when our skills to play video games has drastically improved (one hopes) and wonder why we struggled so much with something to begin with. I had that moment with the end fight for Legend of the Dragoon on the PS1. That fight takes at least 30 minutes because it is like 3-4 stages before you beat the Boss.

To carry on the KH conversation, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Repliku, Axel, and Larxene. at the end of the game. These guys were hard to beat when I was a kid (to the point that I never beat Axel). I lost the cart growing up and bought it again recently. I played though the whole game and they only took me a handful of times to beat. These are meant to be "that one boss" of the game right? That being said, I'm stuck on Marluxia. This is only half the game too, so I feel really pumped to move on to Reverse/Rebirth.
Act II of Kentucky Route Zero is DONE! This game confuses me ever so much. Anyone know how many acts there will be?
All episodes of Sly cooper thieves in time are done time for the plat
I beat Super Metroid today. It was really good, I still don't like the sound effects though and Metroid Zero Mission is still my favorite.
I beat Gauntlet Legends again a bit ago. Love that game.
Apollo Justice, done. I honestly can't see what is the problem some people have with this game. Maybe not the best in the series but I thought it was a generally solid entry. Moving on to AA5.
Hot wheels turbo racing 100% for the N64. I just picked it up again today, and still speed ran it in 54 minutes and 40 some seconds. I get the feeling I can work at that and really improve it.
FINALLY got around to finishing Project X Zone. I did enjoy the game and it was kinda addicting at first but holy fuck, the final battle took me like three hours to beat. That's not good when you're playing a handheld game. Many of the battles leading up to it were ridiculously long too. 6½ out of 10. Fun game but replay value is nonexistent. Well, unless you are into battles that take even longer.
I beat on my brand new PC Metro Last Light, Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3.
Metro was great for it's atmosfear (lol), Crysis 3 was surprisingly better than the 2nd in my opinion.
Far Cry 3 was good.
But Crysis was clearly better than the terrible game that gamers described on the net.

This can also have the opposite effect.
When you do something as a kid, because you spent so much time doing it, then go back to it and find it damn near impossible, and wonder how you did it as a kid.
Take, for example, my LTTP and Minish Cap saves. They each have all the items, damn near every heart and are the closest games I have that 100%. The ironic thing is I never finished them because it was too hard and my childish mind affected how I played the game.
