Yeah I'm a book reader so I knew it was gonna happen but they changed slightly the circumstances of that death. Books Shae is more of a spoiled bitch who only wants money and fine clothes. Tyrion deluded himself, and repeatedly berated himself in his inner monologues that she is a whore who only wants his money. The show actually has her be in love with him and he her, but he made her a spurned lover. So to have her attack him with no dialogue was great. In the books it was her using her pet name that made him snap. I think him just finding her there in his father's bed was all he needed.
I like some of Bran's stuff but not because of him. Book Bran is a little whiny brat like your girlfriend describes. All he wants to do is be Summer, his wolf and that is it. But in his chapters the Reeds offer really good side things. Plus it is through them that we get the story of their father and how he met Ned Stark and his siblings when they were alive, Lianna the sister, Brandon the oldest and Benjen the youngest. It was at the tournament at Harrenhal where Jaime was made into a knight of the Kingsguard, where Rhaegar (Daenerys brother that Robert killed) met and fell head over heals for Lianna, even though he was married to Oberyn's sister Elia. From there the war Ned and Robert fought that sort of set the stage was there.....and they didn't tell that story. So either they aren't gonna tell it or they are waiting for some other setting to do it.
Also I agree with you that Syiro Forel has to be alive for the same reason with the Hound. Granted there is less chance of his survival simple because his wooden sword in the book is cut in half. That was the last thing Arya saw before she ran, she never saw what happened next but unless he has some weird Matrix moves he held back with, possibility of his survival or at least him coming back into the narrative anytime soon is small. Then again they didn't go too far with Arya's adventures in Braavos in the books to see if she might run into him there if he lived long enough to go home. Fingers crossed there.

The reason why I think he's still alive is because I think there's a chance he's a Faceless Man. He's from Braavos, and he's a highly skilled warrior. She could bump into him and he could train her AGAIN.
Anyways, I took what the Hound said about the guy who killed Syrio seriously. When he laughed and said "The 'greatest' warrior lost to Blahdy Blah? Blahdy Blah is an idiot and the worst fighter I know." something along those lines. I don't think it's improbably that Syrio killed him with half of a wooden sword. We've seen crazier in A Song of Ice and Fire.
Anyways, I think I half implied it, but only mentioned spoilers that have to do with the books that have happened in the show so far, if that makes sense. Like, I don't mind spoilers that are in the books but never mentioned in the show, but nothing in Feast For Crows or beyond should be mentioned in our amusing discussions. Because I know nothing past Season 4 of the show. The girlfriend just sits and gives me background while we watch.
^Okay. Well as for your theory on Syrio being a Faceless Man, he isn't. In the book he is the First Sword of Braavos, almost the equivalent of a Kingsguard, they guard the head lord of Braavos

Only these guys are better. They aren't assassins though. Faceless Men are killers where as First Swords like Syrio are problem solvers, they notice threats before they happen.
Here is wiki's summary of Syrio. None of it touches on book 4 and beyond, just what was told in book 1/season 1

Started watching Under The Dome. Oh my god! I watched the first two episodes when it first came on last year, but I missed a few episodes and could not follow it. I'm watching the first season on Amazon Prime and I can see why it was in the running for best new series. Now I find out season two is coming on the 30th (in the states) and I can't wait.
So, Wil Wheaton has a web soup style show on Sci-fi now. It isn't bad.
Just got done watching the season finale of Under The Dome, and I can say that I know hate this show. It's not bad and I have to say everyone should give it a chance. The reason that I hate it is that it leaves you with such a big cliff hanger that you will have to come back to watch season 2. This is the reason I'm in a love-hate relationship with The Walking Dead which does the same thing. The people who saw the finale when it originally aired had to wait a year to see if they killed off the main character. I can't even read the book to see what happens because, like the Walking Dead, they changed te story around. In all seriousness, watch this show. I love this show and really can't wait for what season two as instore.
I just couldn't start watching Under the Dome after reading the book. I just... I just couldn't...
the whole mystical part with the kids and stuff is what turned me off to the show.
I finished Breaking Bad with my mom yesterday. It was even better the second time around.
She had a damn breakdown when the Aryans killed Hank, he was her favorite character.
I decided to watch Teletubbies... Ugh... Its starting to creep me out for some reason.

Not gonna question why but you should see the game :D
Started watching Legend of Korra Season 2 today,It's awesome!
Hopefully season 3 wont be over by the time I finish,Probably will be though.
Like I said in another thread, I started watching 24. I have mixed feelings about it. I went in expecting this great show with great characters and cliffhangers that made you want to watch the next episode right away. I ended Day 1 with the thoughts of most of the characters are there for cannon fodder, Jack is not the bad ass Main charicter that everyone says he is, the plot goes in circles to the point that I thought they should have ended the season about 5 times before the real end, and the episodes don't end in any sort of suspense IMO. I think that Under the Dome is a better show.
That being said, I like the interaction with each of the characters, Jack is a decent character (for the most part), and I still want to watch more to see when or if it gets better. I am on the 4th episode of Day 2 and I just ordered the game to see how well that came out.
Decided to watch new episodes of Pokemon, and honestly, its slighty growing better. The Theme Song is almost the same as the first one, which is alright I guess, but what really made me happy was the Japanese theme. Take a listen.

Also, the battles are fast paced and Team Rocket is slowly growing smarter which makes it a challenge and fun to watch.
I get way too into Project Runway. So far I've flipped my shit over the choices the judges have made in just these two episodes. I can't remember the name of that male judge they have this year, but my goodness is he a total dick! He also seems to forget that the outfits are on real people when he looks at them; it looked like at one point he was trying to look under a girl's dress.
