I feel like i need to ditch my cable, except if that happens, I'll lose the internet as well. Can't there be just internet deals since I mostly watch netflix these days?

The place where I get my cable provides the internet for the house as well. Except it was part of a deal. No cable? No internet providing.

Well, that sounds awful. Isn't there any other services providing Internet near your area?
That's not how service provides work in the states, sadly.
I guess with fewer and fewer people wanting cable, they try to artifically boost their numbers by imposing TV on you.

I'm pretty sure we'd riot if they tried that here. A Canadian riot, mind, with lots of mildly-worded letters and tutting.

Planet Earth does it again -- this is some absolutely astounding cinematography.

You'd be hard-pressed getting such good quality filming in scripted cinema ! I'd love to see a behind-the-scenes documentary showing us exactly how they film so close, from so many angles and so quickly.

EDIT - Turns out they do a little diary-esque excerpt at the end explaining how they filmed a certain sequence !
Sooner or later TV will become more and more obsolete and the topic name would have to be changed to 'show talk'.
Trying to get back onto the subject of TV. Are there any good fantasy themed shows out there? I tried watching Game of thrones, but I couldn't get into it.

I'd say The Librarians. It's a funny fantasy adventure show on TNT. Covers King Arthur to Santa Claus to Roman and Greek myths and so on, and even trys to do it's homework. Has Bruce Campbell as Santa Claus in the first season and John de Lancie as a demon in the second, so there is some star power beyond it.
Has anyone here watched "The Aprentice"? It is any good?

As in the show where people do business challenges ?

The UK version is very good, and is in its... 12th season, I think.
Has anyone here watched The Six Million Dollar Man? It is any good? I seeing stuff related to the series whenever i go (mostly the sound effects) and, well, i just can't escape from it.
If you're into '70s style shows, then yeah, it's not bad.
