Oh man are you guys farming the centaur dudes yet? I am and I'm loving it, feels like Monster Hunter got wasted and had a baby with the good parts of Twilight Princess. Plus, you can RIDE them :D

Also, super-pro-tip for food, find the Faron Tower then jump off to the ledge next to it with the two Lizalfos. Take out Stasis to scan around and you'll find an orgy of Hearty Durains, which fully heal and increase your max hearts by up to 20 when cooked together. They regrow every few days in game, and it really helps when you're getting your ass kicked by evil centaur monsters.

I just defeated my first Lynel in the Coliseum Ruins last night. Pretty sweet.

I only found 2 red ones. Never found a blue one. Once you are far enough, you can wreck them for fun. It's amazing.

I found a blue one, but after he killed me and before I knew how to defeat him, I ran around him to get where I was going. You'll find one if you go searching for the areas where you recall memories.

Now that I think about it, I MIGHT have ran into a few. I didn't get too close and just shot it when an ancient arrow.
Now that I do think about it, I think they're in Hyrule Castle as well (the enclosed spaces make it hard)

Aonuma has stated open-air games will be the new standard in Zelda games.

Well let's hope they can improve upon BOTW. It was great, but lacked traditional Zelda things. Dungeons are what we want to see, not 120 shrines and 4 divine beasts.

But the exploration factor was 10/10. I loved the beginning 10 hours or just exploring and finding locations, avoid powerful enemies and getting stronger items. It was fun.

Since release day, my younger daughter and I have been playing BotW. With her being only 9, she asks for a lot of help; I've played ahead of her so I can figure out how to defeat the Divine Beasts and at this point, we both have all 4 Divine Beast defeated and she found out how to get through the Lost Woods on her own and found the Master Sword before I did.
I've got so many side quests to do right now but I want to defeat Ganon. Unfortunately, my daughter wants to defeat Ganon first. I guess I should be a good daddy and let her. I guess I'll go chase butterflies. I might even do it in Skyrim.

I bought the Expansion Pass last night and installed DLC #1.

What's the first thing I did? Trial of the Sword. I died at room 9, maybe 10. I hate Lizalfos. I'll give it another go later.

I'm not so sure about wearing a Tingle suit. That just seems childish.

I finally found all 120 shrines. According to my adventure log, I still have 3 shrine quests to complete; I'm not sure how I did that. Oh well.

I don't think I'm going to attempt to 100% complete the game. I don't feel like collecting 900 Korok seeds for a golden turd.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is getting a mention in free DLC. I knew nothing about it and just so happened to wake up around midnight Wednesday/Thursday and decided to play BotW to kill time.

The DLC is for three new outfit pieces that Rex wears in XC2 and I found the clues for the locations of red shooting stars very easy to find. Since shooting stars occur at night, skeleton moblins and goblins will show up when Link gets to the locations to make a somewhat decent challenge; throw in Yuga clan members and a Yuga clan master and it's a now decent challenge.

With that being said, I collected the three pieces in 10 minutes or so.
