That one game you tried to like but couldn't.

Dark Souls.

I get it, the game kicks your ass and punishes the everloving sh*t out of you constantly, but the interface was clunky and I don't think that destroying my entire save file because I wanted to see if I could whack the merchant is as much "hardcore" as it is "pointlessly overkill". And I know that the arguement could easily be made that the game is punishing me accordingly and that I brought it on myself, and that's probably a fair point, it just left a really sour taste in my mouth.

To be fair, this is one the few if only game series that flat out tells you before you buy it, before you even play one second of it, that it will kick the shit out of you on a constant basis. You pretty much need to be like Rocky Balboa to endure it all and keep going......now I want to buy this game or Dark Souls II and just play it with Eye of the Tiger playing on a constant basis or all the inspirational songs they had when Rocky was training.

Couldn't get into Assassins Creed. Personally I found the game to be bland and "trying to hard". It only got worse as the game went on because the series has been milked to the point that the cow is giving out dust so there's no real point playing them now. I've sat through a friend playing all of AC1 and 2...then I just didn't care. It's really not that great of a series, it's far to overhyped and it's such a bland game in general.

There's also Street Fighter x Tekken which no matter how much I try to find something positive about it. I can't. Heck, just for mentioned that pile of shit I should ban myself from the forum.

That's another one. I have and played only MGS3 and I just can't get into it. People say that it's the best (next to MGS4) but I just think it's dull and boring. It's probbly my run and gun style of playing games, but I can't foucus on sneaking around and not killing people.

I will say that the story is great, so watching someone play the games is fun for me.

I couldn't get into the Uncharted games. I've tried Uncharted 2 and Golden Abyss and I just got bored through most of the game. Dead Island was another, it was so bad in my opinion and it's probably because I compared it to Fallout most of the time. The newer Assassin's Creed games kinda made me dislike the series. I love Assassin's Creed 1 to Brotherhood (Brotherhood being one of my most favorite games) but I started playing Revelations and I thought they were milking it like BumbleBeeCody said and I tried 3 and lost interest in the series. I have no plans on getting Black Flag.

It surprises me how many people don't Assassin's Creed. It's one of my favrate and 3 was one of the best (Black Flag.... not so much).

How about Tekken? I could never get into any of the games. It's not because they are hard because I love hard Fighting games. It's more to do the combos that make no since and the computer players knowing how to do them all.

On the other end of the spectrum, Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3. How was this given top marks? The game is the worse installment in the DBZ fighting series (that I have played). Yea, I like 2 way more than I like 3.

Spec Ops: The Line. People kept telling me this game would change my view on modern shooters. I played it and all I could see was just another generic military shooter with guns going pew and enemies getting killed in hundreds. One day I will beat this game but I ain't gonna like it.

Another one is Bangai-O Spirits. I really wanted to like this, I really did. I like hectic shooters. I like mechs. But this game was just... bland. The lack of actual story killed it for me. I know stories in games like this are never good to begin with but I enjoy silly stories. That's why I keep playing through arcade modes in fighters. In any case, I just couldn't get into the solely mission based gameplay.

Another game series I couldn't get into was Dragonball z. Any game in the series I couldn't get into. It was just all the same. I know a few friends who like the games, but I wasn't into the series so that would make sense.

I tried fallout 1, but it didn't work on my computer, so I fixed that, but the resolution was all funky so I actually saw beyond what I could click and it was SO annoying.
I kind of want to see an hd remake that works on modern computers.

I recently tried out Diablo 2. A coworker of mine was getting rid of some old games and he had a disc with it and a few expansions, so I gnabbed them, grabbed a two liter bottle of 7-Up and got ready to dive in.

I tried Fallout 1, had no idea what the fuck I was doing, and gave up.

But believe me, when I went back to it, it was a great game, the only problem I had with is that your agility NEEDS to be at 10 so that you can use the majority of weapons, and you need a walkthrough to finish the game.

The game is outdated, but it is not difficult. It's a simple Turn Based Strategy that you need to get used to. It's a great game, but you need to understand it first, and if you can't do that, then I guess it's not for you. A shame if you love Fallout 3 and New Vegas really.

It really is. I want to enjoy it but I just don't know what to do and have trouble getting it to work on my computer. I really do love the new Fallouts too.

I assume your problem is that the game won't run correctly due to using Windows 7/8? Download and follow the above and it should work correctly.

Not gonna lie, I played Fallout 1 about 80% of the way before I discovered this. So I was playing it up close and when I discovered this, it made it easier to play and manage.
