Last game you beat

Resident Evil 6, I must say it was quite fantastic thinking of the failure of the 5th.
However, I would preffer they went back to their roots with the T-Virus and not this C-Virus, make the zombies slow and terrifying, all I've basicly been playing the last 2 games is Call of Duty with zombies having guns.
(Except the Leon campaign, that actually had a few good zombies here and there.)

But... Those weren't zombies.

How was that, anyway? I'm thinking of getting it soon. I know there are rumors of a console release but I'd much rather play a Castlevania platformer on a handheld.

Storywise, I hated it. I really dislike Lords of Shadow in general, but I collect every Castlevania game that gets released. I wasn't too annoyed with Lords of Shadow's story, but this one does some things that just get on my nerves. This is really a spoiler:
Gameplay wise, it's... okay. I don't like God of War type games, and this just mash a button combo system isn't that fun to me, but the exploration is sort of nice. It's very linear though, which is annoying, and there's a red arrow on the map telling you where to go at all times. The physics are kind of weird, and there's none of that "holding jump increases your jump, lightly touching it decreases it" thing going on. If you press the jump you will jump the same height no matter what. If you stop holding forward while jumping forward, you do not stop, but you also do not continue on the same jump arc, which is weird.

It's a QTE fest, especially with Trevor's boss fights, which have a majority of most bosses (and for one of them, the entire fight) requiring a lot of QTEs.

It'll probably go on sale if you wait a while, which is what I would suggest doing. I have a hard time saying I really didn't like it considering I played it all the way through, but I can't sing its praises either. Overall it's pretty mediocre, in my opinion.

I'll take your advice and wait till the price drops. That, or I'll just get it used.

Pikmin 2 a month or so ago, 100%. I even got all pink flowers on the challenges. was not an easy task I tell you.

overall it was a massive improvement over the first game in every way (not saying the first game was bad by any means though). it just had much improved control and you could throw Pikmin much faster which is a major thing for me, and there was a lot more to do, the new enemies are awesome (the Waterwraith scared to bazoobles out of me when I first encountered it though), it was harder, had me coming back almost all the time until I 100%'d it, gave me reasons to go through already-beaten caves again, the existence of Purple Pikmin, which is enough of a reason in itself to call the game an improvement, required you to be very quick and crafty, and really made you think out your strategies in a vast variety of perplexing situations.

recently when I came back to replay the first game (I hadn't worked out my Pikmin fever yet cause the sequel was so amazing), I really noticed how much more difficult it is to get to grips with the physics hehe. the fact that Pikmin trip a lot more often is rather bothersome and slows you down too. but it was still awesome though. I think having just come back from the second game put a big impact on how the controls felt, that's all.

Wow, 100%, that's crazy! You must be really good, I've been trying at that for years. I agree with you, the physics in 2 are way better- I NEVER understood why the Pikmin were always tripping in the first game. To add realism, I guess, but the developers should've never gone for realism over fun!

thanks heheh, it took me several tries on a lot of them, but eventually I managed it cause I'm just persistent. :P
as an interesting note, I haven't lost any Pikmin to poison and/or burning, or one of those hazards in the main story mode.
and yea I think sometimes the developers don't realize how hindering a little feature/detail can be to the average player. I normally wouldn't care but they trip often enough I almost literally have to walk with them like little children and keep stopping/slowing down to make sure they're all following.
