No, Django Unchained isn't a special edition. That is just the regular release for the Bluray version. Sleeve is normal.

That explains why I haven't seen those. I have Django Unchained on DVD and apparently that version doesn't come with a sleeve. Also, we don't have the Greatest Hits thing here, only Essentials and Platinum, Platinum being the only line that changes the color of the case and even that's silver.

Had to look into your profile to see where you are from. Being from Finland does explain things. I'm guessing each place has their own version of the item. Don't know why some are different like that. I'm betting too the Bluray of Django is different from the DVD.

Platinum I can understand for a "Oldie but a Goodie" designation but Essentials screams "BUY ME CAUSE YOU NEED ME!" Greatest Hits just sounds like this is one of the good ones from a studio's collection, even though it means it is the same exact game but at a cheaper rate cause they want to milk it for all it's worth.

Doesn't bother me, I got Legend of the Dragoon and FF7 as Greatest Hits and they were both like $15-$25 at the time when games were around $30-$40 full price.
(This was late 90's early 2000's so things have changed only a little bit as far as prices go for games)

I figured everyone here already knew I was from Finland :D I frequent two forums and the other one has your location displayed under your avatar so that tends to make me forget it's not a thing here.

Hmm. Sounds like Greatest Hits is quite similar to what Essentials is here. The Essentials even have a red outline around the cover art. Then again, I don't think we had Essentials before PS3 came out, only Platinum.

The "Essentials" I have are Driver: San Francisco and inFamous.

I'm relatively new here still. So I don't know all that sorta thing. But it is probably good that way, makes it so I can keep learning new things.

The PS1 Greatest Hits label was a green band on the edge of the cover with red letters. PS2 & PS3 are red with white letters like Heavy Rain showed. Actually if you look at some of the other pictures you can see on the edge of some of those games for my PS2 collection the differences. Normal covers just have a black label for the PS2.

Oh that's right! I didn't pay that much attention to the system logo on those PS2 games. I did know beforehand what the Greatest Hits PS1 games looked like, I've seen a couple being sold here for some reason, though used of course.

Those PS2 games are another thing. Your regular cases seem to be either black or, if I'm not mistaken, clear but ours are all blue with the rare occasion of a black case and of course the Platinum silver.

I'm guessing they do that so they can differentiate between regions so they not only can rate them accordingly based on region's preference, but maybe it is more appealing for the region's own aesthetics, or something along those line? (I don't know, just speculating)

I collect Yu-gi-oh cards (been doing that since they came out) and video games & gaming memorabilia. I currently own 5 consoles (ps3, wii u, snes, n64 & game cube) and almost all major Nintendo handhelds (game boy, gbc, gba, ds and 3ds) with at least a dozen games for each. My wife also collects Stephen King books so I have that as an honerary collection as well.

Odd, you listed Nintendo and Sega consoles, but your avatar is of Sonic and Knuckles?

Did you own a Mega Drive back when, and sold it?

Yes, yes it is. The illustrations on the box make it look way worse.

^^I just noticed the Princess Bitch one.

"Here you go little girl."
"Oh thank you, I've always wanted Princess Bitch!"

I have no clue what that particular character is from, but the name alone makes her awesome.

She's... Erm... From a porn manga that spoofs Mario and Peach. Haven't read it, but wanted the figure for some reason.

Now taking a second look (not in that way, sorry no other way of phrasing that) I see the Mario/Peach spoof.......and also, AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Still awesome if in a weird "I'll never watch Super Mario Bros. the same again" kind of weird.

Now it makes me think of this (FYI - NSFW):

Just realized it's only four more days until I get one massive display cabinet and one small one. I still wish it could've landed on some of my vacation time since it's going to take forever to fill them.

What's a little embarrassing to admit is the small one is for my room so no one will see the types of figures I'll put in there. In other words, Princess Bitch is coming out of her box.
