These video game soundtracks you love so much
#76
You know I'm not a fan of soundtracks in those games that take place during a real war like WWII but Commandos 2 knows how to make the song apply to your mission objectives and the location of the mission.

The jazz in this video game is really getting to me. Especially this song
. It has that nightclub feel to it from the 1930's/1940s. Very film noir like. But at the same time. I'm always imagining myself a nightclub seeing the woman singing this song as I'm enjoying my drink. Thats how good the song is.

I love chessy 90's era rap music, so songs like that in video games make me incredibly happy.

(Street Fighter 3: Third Strike - Character Select Theme "Let's Get It On")

(Sonic Adventure 2 - "A Ghost's Pumpkin Soup ... for Pumpkin Hill")

(Jet Set/Grind Radio - "Jurassic 5's Improvise")

Not a rap song, but whatever.

(Jet Set/Grind Radio - "Dragula (Hot Rod Herman Remix)")

^ I learned to hate that pumpkin hill song after being stuck on the mission for 20+ minutes. Not bad out of context though.

Gonna abuse games with licensed soundtracks:

(Tony Hawk's Pro Skater - Gold Finger's "Superman")

(Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 - Millencolin's "No Cigar")

(Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 - Anthrax & Public Enemy's "Bring the Noise")

(Tony Hawk's Pro Skater - Suicide Machine's "New Girl")

(BMX XXX - 311's "Down")

(Ollie King - "Let It Go)

(Jet Set/Grind Radio - B.B Rights' "Funky Radio")

Intro

Boss Battle

Theme Of Lischero

Reach Out To The Truth AKA the battle theme of Persona 4

I've never played the game, but I remember seeing a LP where a more somber version of Reach Out played for the (true) final battle. I could not find it and I'm not sure if it exists or if I just imagined it.

Dear Esther.

I seriously don't think there's a bad track on that entire OST.
I guess you could argue it's not a "game" though, but it sure is pretty.
