So I watched the latest MCU film: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Spoiler:Honestly, I kind of wish the movie was a little more grounded (I know this is Marvel, but still). The evil dragon didn't need to be the final boss of the film, because the main conflict between father and son was already interesting on its own and it could have been explored a little further. And has Hydra ever encountered the Ten Rings? Have they fought each other for control? Have they collaborated with each other? These questions need answers, hopefully they answer them in future films. And how did Katy Cheng became so good with the bow and arrow in just one day and with no prior experience? Unless she trained in the Room of Spirit and Time from Dragon Ball Z, there's no way she became that good in just a day. Abomination resembles the comic version and looks nothing like his film counterpart, meaning you'd never guess it's him without knowing his comic design. And wasn't he imprisoned in Alaska? Why is he with Wong? Hopefully they'll explain this too. Don't take me wrong, tho. Its good to see Abomination back after all these years. The origins of the Ten Rings (the objects, not the organization) will be explored in future films, as hinted by the post-credits scene. Speaking of the post-credits scene, Bruce Banner returned to his human form and his arm is still damaged. Guess what I heard its true: the damage Hulk suffered due to the Snap is gonna be permanent.

The fights scenes were pretty good. I like how Shang-Chi and Katy Chen have no romantic feelings for each other and instead they are just good friends. I think that's a little refreshing. And yes, it was confirmed as such before the release of the film: https://thenerdsofcolor.org/2021/08/19/s...iends/amp/

To sate the obvious: no, they didn't lie. Those two are just really good friends in the film.
Recently I found out that apparently Kill Bill is a ripoff of the 1973 manga Lady Snowblood. Lady Snowblood also revieved a live-action adaptation in 1973.

I'm saying "apparently" because I don't know if it is actually a ripoff or just inspired by it. I haven't read the manga nor watched the film adaptation of said manga.

HAPPY 45TH ANNIVERSARY TO THE ROCKY SERIES!
So I watched Jean-Claude van Damme's Kickboxer. It was alright. You know that iconic scene of Van Damme dancing? That scene comes from this film.

On the subject of similar movies... Anyone remembers Real Steel and Gladiator (1992)? Gladiator is an obscure boxing film. Real Steel is more famous. Real Steel is basically Rocky with Robots and Hugh Jackman was there.

Gladiator (1992) is no masterpiece but still, you should check it out.
Here's the trailer for the Sonic 2 movie.
Remember the movie Eragon? Based on the book of the same name. I just remembered this movie is a thing.

EDIT: the movie turns 15 years old on December 15th. What a coincidence.
Here's a video comparing the power levels of 2003's Hulk with the MCU Hulk. This video is NOT about what's the better movie, who's the better lead actor, none of that. This is about which version of the Hulk is more powerful.

This video was published on November 2017.
People back when Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 first came out: Ugh, I hate emo Peter Parker! So embarrasing! This is NOT how Peter Parker is supposed to behave under the influence of the symbiote.

People now: Ha ha ha, Bully Maguire! That's so hilarious. One of the best things about the film.

EDIT: I wonder if there are still people out there who hate that scene.
John Wick: Chapter 4 CONFIRMED. Coming on March 24, 2023.
So I watched Arnold Schwarzenegger's Total Recall. Yeah, it was fun. I liked the campy nature of the film. The acting was fine.

Remenber that user called Beardy? His profile picture comes from this movie.
I just found out that there are SEVEN Kickboxer films, with an eighth one in development.

EDIT:

To be more specific, the list goes as follows: Kickboxer, Kickboxer 2, Kickboxer 3, Kickboxer 4, and Redemption: Kickboxer 5. Then there's the reboot series which consits of Kickboxer: Vengeance, Kickboxer: Retaliation, and the upcoming one called Kickboxer: Armageddon.

Kickboxer 1 is the film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme as the lead character. It is also the most famous film in the entire series and the one most people are familiar with.

Like I said, seven movies in total, with an eight one in development.
Today I watched John Wick: Chapter 2. It was a vast improvement over the original. The action was phenomenal, a lot of fight scenes were creative, the set pieces were gorgeous and, honestly, the story was really engaging.
Today I finally got around and watched Steven Spielberg's JAWS.

It was better than I expected. I like the well acted and well written characters and dialogue. I like the dramatic and suspenful music by John Williams. The story was surprisingly engaging. And I like how the suspense was built around the shark.

Jaws is a great film.
It is often said that Jaws demonized sharks. That Jaws helped to perpetuate and even exaggerate steryotypes about sharks, as well as to create new ones. Potraying sharks as just mindless monsters, driven purely by instinct and hunger. Is this true? Yes.

Here's a video by Trey the Explainer that goes into detail on how media like Jaws affected marine ecosystems as a whole, not just sharks.

Don't take me wrong. Like I said, Jaws is a great film. You can still enjoy the movie but you can also admit that the way sharks are potrayed sucks.

Did you know that sharks use their mouths the same way we use our hands? That is, to interact with their enviroment.

EDIT: Sharks aren't any worse than bears, tigers, or other predators.
