Well this is adorable.

Sierra's morning lie-in.

I don't own any pet but where i work there a owner takes care of 6-7 street dogs. Feeding them once a day and flling water in a bucket for animals. I tend to give him hand whenever possible.

My cat (Sopie) is becoming a real pain. Her diabetes/cancer has caused her to pretty much lose all bladder control now. She seriously has entirely quit using a litter box altogether and is going all over the place like she's sprung a leak. I'm having to keep all the doors closed in the house because she sneaks off into every room and pees in them.

The only reason I'm calm about any of this is because I know she probably doesn't have much time left. Still no decrease in energy or noticeable pain in her yet, so she won't need put down for a while yet. But I know it's coming. Guess I'll just be cleaning after her every hour or so... :(

There are some amazing tips on My Cat From Hell. He's worked with cats that pee everywhere, all for different reasons. I suggest checking out that show, and checking out the tips on his youtube as well.

I think that show needs to be renamed "My Owner From Hell". I've only seen a few cases where the cat was at "fault", but it was due to medical issues that made it act so screwy.

That's not a fun situation. Best thing to do is make the cat comfortable and perhaps confine her to a single, closed-off area where she can chill and not make a mess everywhere.

That's one of the main reasons I love that show. Jackson isn't afraid to let the owners know they're at fault. But man, some of those owners are so bad it made me physically upset.

Well, this cat has always been a little screwy. She was way worse than taming any feral cat: She had been heavily abused (man, it seems all my animals are either ferals or rescues). Her previous owners threw her like a wet sack of potatoes, shaved off her whiskers, even shot at her. When we first got her, she was legitimately frightened at the sight any person. I've watched quite a bit of My Cat From Hell, and I rarely see a cat on that show that did more damage than Sophie did when we first got her. She would actually charge and attack people that weren't even in the same room; no way in the world were they provoking her. She's a normal cat now, but it took years for her to get over her fear and re-arranging the house to give her plenty of hiding spaces.

But she really can't control her bladder right now. I've seen that cat running as fast as it can to it's litter box wizzing as it goes. It's not an anger issue with her. She is going enough right now to make the litter box seem as if we have 4-5 cats instead of one (and she only makes it there in time around 75% of the time). Sophie the cat, for all intensive purposes, is nearing death and just trying to make her comfortable. It just sucks right now that this time last year I had 2 cats and a dog. 1 cat and the dog have both recently died, and my last cat is on it's last limb due to a nice combo of cancer and diabetes. Yippee.

Fuck her previous owners. Even though it had to be crazy difficult I'm glad she ended up with you since most people would put a cat like that to sleep instead of helping her learn to trust people again.

I hate that the old saying "tragedies happen in threes" ends up really being true for people.

It's entirely up to how you feel, of course, but maybe it would be a lot easier on yourself to take a break from owning animals after this. That's just way too much heartache.

It takes a special kind of person to take in an animal like that. Good for you :)

Have you tried getting a few of those cheap litter boxes to put around the house? That may help.

Dahlia and Iris can't decide if they want to be scared of the guy putting in a new shower or eat carrots. They go back and forth between chowing down and rumbling at him, because guinea pigs are just so scary and intimidating.
