That's not a bad idea. I got my Switch on the day it released just so I could do that for the first time in my life. And I only have Botw and Minecraft. I know there are more games, but I want to wait until there's an even better variety of games to choose from.

In a series of mundane events, I somehow got Project M running on my PC. If anyone wants to play some smash, hit me up during the weekends.
And for the tech wizards out there that is unimpressed by my PC skillz(in which I went through hours learning how to install the damn thing)...

Holy shit, Ristar is a fucking difficult game. So, the main gameplay is to propel Ristar around with his long elastic arms. He'll grab something and pull back, let go and be flung towards something. Enemies will also fly around the screen if you attack them and there are also some ledges and ladders you'll have to grab onto throughout the game, sounds easy right?
The first stage was pretty simple, it was just some acrobatics that needed perfect timing. I died a few times due to me being a bit silly but overall it was fine.
The boss wasn't that difficult either, it was just good timings on hits.
The second stage was an annoyance due to it being underwater, so grabbing things was difficult since you'd move slightly in the direction of your grab, so I'd get hit from something annoying.
But oh man, the third stage was absolute hell. You basically need to be PERFECT at hitting diagonal grabs which required you to press Right/Up or Left/Up at the same time and if you press Right or Left you move in that direction. To add insult to injury the devs decided to put the bars/objects you need to grab around spike pits. So it's either get really good at diagonal grabbing or lose health, and oh man did I lose health. I'm not even sure if the Mega Drive supported directional input without moving the character left/right.
I mean just look at all the stuff I gotta avoid and get the diagonal jumps on point for.
The game does grant you 25 lives though and there are 6 stages from what I can tell. I'm currently on Stage 4 which is probably the worst stage yet int terms of these spike pits, and I've only got 10 lives left. The game is good, but damn is it hard as fuck.

So I finished Yu-No, and this game honestly just got crazier and crazier as time went on. Like seriously, the amount of things this game does is ridiculous. I'm condensing big plot points into little one sentence bullet points. If you have no intention of playing the game (took me 43 hours to 100% it) but wouldn't mind watching an anime they'll create in 2018. I wouldn't read the spoiler otherwise if you wanna be in for a badly explained ride, go ahead.
Here's some music while you read this crazy thing.
>Father gives you a time/dimension jumping device and asks you to find him by going through multiple dimensional worlds and searching for jewels for your device
>You go to a place called Sword Cape, a mysterious shrine that has been around for centuries with no explanation to why it exists, your fathers letter tells you to go there at night, when you do you meet a glowing naked women there who kisses you and then disappears.
>When you do the headmaster of the school points a gun at you to hand over the device, with your step mother behind him. Suddenly a flash of light appears and you disappear an reappear before the event happened, confused you start the game
>Each girl you can romance has something to do with Sword Cape
>One girl is mysterious and tells you that Sword Cape is dangerous and always seems to be controlling things from the shadows, another is a history geek who wants to find out what happened to Sword Cape and why it is like this, others include a news reporter and an employee of a company that is working near Sword Cape to retrieve crystals.
>You can romance anyone from your classmate to your fucking step mother
>Find out your real mother is from another world and your father knew this about her, and is basically trying to find her
>Find out your fathers close friend and headmaster is actually not human and is trying to get your device
>Eventually when you get all the jewels for your device, fuck every girl and literally die twice you go to another world that your mother was from
>Somehow, meet a local who doesn't speak. Turns out the local is a priestess that escaped from an imperial city and is tasked with sacrificing herself so that the world doesn't come to an end, for the sacrifice to happen she must not talk so that God (yes, God) can take over her body and reset the world to a period where it will not end.
>Decided that she can't die, and instead raise a kid with her in this new peaceful world. 3 years pass, and the kid has an accelerated growth rate and is around 12 years old by this time, during this time the imperial soldiers come and kill your wife due to her abandoning her duties and lament that she didn't have a successor (to their knowledge)
>You and your daughter go on a hunt to find the men who did it, in doing so the girl is kidnapped and you're put in a concentration camp that you only escape from by befriending a dragon that grows up into a dragon monster girl thing that flies you away from the camp only to die from exhaustion and you literally eat her to survive
>As you get closer to the capital, you have one goal on your mind and that's to find the god emperor, the one person who killed your wife. When you get close to finding her, you accidentally find your headmaster locked up in chains below a castle
>He tells you some important information for his freedom and you let him go, as you reach the castle you find your daughter is being brainwashed to give her mind to God so that the disaster averts itself, you stop the brainwashing and reunite
>Eventually the god emperor comes and you wait to kill them, but it turns out it's your step mother from before, and she has take the role of the leader because she had some idea of how exactly "God" worked.
>Turns out that this other world is another dimension that was inhabited by scientists of a world that was once earth, but due to differences in timelines that earth was destroyed by meteors and deemed uninhabitable. They escaped by moving a small part of the earth away and lived on this piece of rock because they had nothing else to do to save themselves, in doing so they had to adapt to new forms of living conditions. Created an artificial sun to thrive off of, and humans had to change to adapt to living on a rock and such.
>Apparently, one scientist discovers that the rock they live on is actually orbiting around OUR earth dimension and will collide with it every 4 years or so, to stop this she calculates the trajectory and narrowly avoids us. She creates a computer that will calculate this and uploads her mind to it, meaning it'll work forever with ease. This is their "God".
>Every few years a girl is chosen to be a vessel for her to be put into so that she can manually miss earth, this time it's your daughter
>She agrees to be the vessel, but you don't want her to be. Eventually she asks you why you're against the whole thing and you just tell her straight that you don't want her to die. After several minutes of awkward moments, she eventually asks you to fuck her. YES YOUR DAUGHTER because to her in this world, there is no concept like incest. Love is love. The MC actually agrees to this as well because it was her wish and he wanted her to be happy.
>The next day you find out the Queen is missing and try to find her, soon find her being held hostage by the headmaster
>Eventually learn that the headmaster of your school is actually a time traveling dimension jumping immortal being that is being hunted by the Dimensional Bureau of Investigation which the school's doctor is actually part of, and isn't from Earth
>The headmaster is actually looking for a way to escape being captured by the school nurse and would literally destroy two worlds and dimensions because he is immortal and can wait for another world to be created, his plan is to stop the girl from sacrificing herself
>School Teacher tells you that the reason she is hunting him is because she comes from a dimension that is researching how to basically get back to the root of time, before the first split occurred and her husband apparently got to the root (which is apparently God's domain) and in doing so the Headteacher followed the trail this man took all the way back to his body and occupied it, in doing so killing the original man and he was able to stay in that dimension and wreck havoc
>Eventually you distract him long enough for the school teacher to capture him and she leaves to go back to her dimension, you and your daughter are all that's left. She sacrifices herself to save the world, but before that you give her one of the Jewels in your device so that it'll keep her safe
>When she leaves, you suddenly wake up back in your own world with a jewel missing from the device, when you teleport to where the jewel is you discover the girl from the beginning of the game is laying there again. This time you know who she is and what to do. You hold onto her and tell her you won't let her leave
>Before you know it, you're transported to a world that's complete darkness with her, and she tells you that you were too late. Earth and the other place collided and it's all over, only those two remain. As they walk endlessly in darkness, they see light come from the sky and a sprout rise from the ground only to become a large tree and the rest of the world becomes encased in grass.
>Turns out they're the next start for the human race, a la Adam and Eve
>As for the Father you never see him, he is continuing to go through multiple dimensions to find the root himself.
I should also add this game had an actual fucking thesis on time travel/dimension jumping.

Gonna try Dark Souls for the 9th or so time, got 7 hours in this game and I've never beaten the first real boss since the game is so frustrating. Think if it doesn't click this time I'm just gonna remove the game from my account.

I dislike Dark Souls quite a bit actually, but you did notice the stairs behind Firelink Shrine right? That's the way you're meant to go, not the graveyard that the game faces you towards and places an NPC near so that turning around and going off into the distance would be a stupid and illogical thing to do.

No yeah I've gotten to the first real boss a few times through the town and all that, was talking about the armored skeletons.
I also gotta reiterate again how nice Monster Hunter feels after this. I feel like I might enjoy the game if it was all 1v1, but just like in MH, when you throw multiple enemies at you when the mechanics were clearly not designed for it, it just feels like shit.
Also super narrow spaces to fight enemies in constantly, gud level design 10/10

So, Gamestop promised to restocked the Nintendo Switch console by September 1st. As it turned out, they had only 2 stocks when I showed up. My intent was just to tag along with my buddies and mind my own business...and I ended up walking away with a Nintendo Switch. and a Nintendo Switch traveling case.and Zelda BOTW. and ARMS.
Safe to say that I am not responsible with money after all this time.

But the Switch is f%#king hella good and I am not just saying that because I haven't touched a game for over 2-3 months now.

Mario and Rabbids is great and all, but holy fuck Ubisoft KNEW no one gave a shit about their Rabbids concept and they don't allow you to play as 3 Mushroom Kingdom characters. You NEED to have one rabbid character in your team at all times.
Fuck sake, all I wanted was to be Mario, Luigi and Peach against it all, but now I have to have some epic minion tier Peach in my team because it's "funny".
Thanks for nothing Ubisoft.

I know some people want a new Sega console, but that's probably not a good way of going about it.
