Coworker of my Dad's was just getting rid of his PS3 for some reason so now I'm the proud owner of one. Popped in Dragon Age Origins first thing and maaaaaaaaan that game has not aged gracefully and runs like doody. Kinda had me worried about the console for a minute.
Then I gave Infamous 2 a shot and it looks and plays beautifully.

Recently playing the Crash Bandicoot remakes and it feels and plays like a flash game. It's good but there are certain aspects that are jarring because of the updated graphics(an example would be the bonus stages, where the 2.5 level doesn't mesh well with the background or the "BONUS" text). Especially felt this with the boss level as well.
Throughout playing it, all I could think of was that I rather just play the originals because those games had a certain amount of charm(maybe it's the outdated graphics or nostalgia but I'm not usually the nostalgic type) that made Crash Bandicoot special that the remakes is very much lacking. Also, I don't consider the N. Sane trilogy as just a "Remaster" because of the amount of work put into it, they should've put more variety to the overall games instead of a fresh coat of paint.

I don't know if it says more about my general ineptitude or how buggy Majesty 2 is, but I've finally managed the impossible. I've managed to fail a tutorial mission in a game that literally plays itself.

Nearing the end of FF7 really makes me wish I individually reviewed each FF game after I finished them, I never thought of doing it but it would be nice to know what I thought about it at the time since I try and remember what I thought of FF1, 2 and 3 and I just draw a blank because they weren't very interesting or appealing.
I can remember my thoughts for 4, 5 and 6 since they were better and memorable, but the first three are sort of a blur. Still, hoping I can finish 8 and 9 before the summer is out, then I'll just have 10, 12, 13 and 15 to get through in the final few months of the year. Not sure if I'll finish all the mainline ones, but I'll try.

Been playing some Smash Run since I've had to be more out and about recently. I hope we get it in the newest smash bros. Its probably the funnest I've ever had playing Smash Bros tbh. Its like City Trial from Kirby Air Ride.

Well, this one is referred to as "Rin" so I don't understand why she could be a "Catherine" too. In Japanese the other two women are both "Catherine" with a C.
