To be fair, there probably wasn't much you could do in a decrepit and recovering Chinese empire that was recovering, from a solider front, that can be used in a kids game. Sure, the mini-games could be used but those are frustrating and terrible.

I forgot all about the fins replacing the boomerang. I always took the mask off and hit Gyorg with the bow and arrow, then transformed back into Mikau and have the shock treatment.

That's the reason that out of the 4/5 games I've played (1, Re:CoM/CoM, II, and BbS), it's my least favrate. One may be unfairly balanced and CoM may have a unpopular gimic, but two just does not feel like it was made for the experienced players. The reaction comands make the bosses even easyer than they are ment to be, a boring and short list of summons, and waste of a Lion King world not to mention the disney worlds seem like they are put in there just to be a disney game, among other faults (and that's from just playing the normal version). I don't really understand the love for this game and hate for the "spin-offs."

Personally, I enjoy the reaction commands because they look cool, but they do make the game much easier. I also really hate CoM, I honestly think it's borderline unplayable because of the combat. KH2 was always my favorite as a kid, mostly because I only played 1 and 2, but playing it now, other than the combat/camera controls, KH1 is better.
It always bugged me how much smaller KH2's worlds were to the worlds in one.

I don't understand why people think that the game play is broken. It adds a little bit more stratigy to the game so your not mashing X, or in KH2, X and Triangle. Sure going from one to CoM, it's relly diffrent, but if you learn how the game works and how to build a good deck, you start to like the game (IMO).

The reaction commands are nice to look at, but when you start to look at them as a gameplay element, you start to notcied that it's like jangeling keys in front of baby. They look nice but are there to distract you from the short boss battles and stages. And then there's Jaffar's boss that's not even that cool.

Personally, I just found the card combat didn't mesh well with Kingdom Heart's really quick reactive play style.

Yeah, I'm sure if I took the time to learn it properly CoM would be a fantastic game, but it's tough for me to get into. And you're totally right about the reaction commands, it's more of a tease than real gameplay.
Welp, I need something to play for the next two weeks until Monster Hunter comes out, after which I probably won't post here for a few months/years, anybody playing anything fun right now they'd recommend?
Check out this video of Unreal Engine 4.

Now, while it's very impressive there are still things that need to be worked out. It looks quite odd for starters, like something is off and also everything is a static object. Nothing moves. Which means it's also quite basic in that regard.

Until we can see something with tons of combat or movements, we can truly see how realistic it looks. But damn, it's a start.

Man, things aren't looking good.

Still, fucking retards need to stop giving shit sonic games and start actually working on some of their IPs.
I'd hate to see Sega gone, but sometimes it feels like they'd be better off as a subsidiary of a different company.

Monster Hunter 3DS
/Funny post
So, I finally finished Silent Hill 2 and it was a great game, it was better than 1.

The game was kind of slow near the start, but eventually picked up the pace. James wasn't as retarded as Harry and I actually felt for the character. He's just a guy looking for the last glimmer of hope that his wife might be alive and has to deal with tons of shit along the way, including people that just seem off in many ways, and when things start going south all he can do is just go on, he can't mourn, he can't run, he just has to venture on.

Right at the end as well, I did like how
The last boss fight was easy, just like SH1, except I died less in this once since I had like about 25 healing items all together.

I did like it quite a lot, the last section especially. Music was pretty good too, listening to Promise as I type.

I unfortunately don't have 3 (well I do, but I don't have the disc) so I'm going to have to either find it for cheap or emulate it.
