I rolled a dice on those I could think of.........
How about the Chao Garden in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle? Does that count?
I guess we could broaden it to general sidegames. I meant games in games as in board, card, and arcade games in other games but I guess that's kind of niche. Most games I've seen do it are shooters or open world GTA style games.
The Mini games in Mario and Luigi Superstar saga.

In regards to that description, I enjoyed Bee-Bee Gone/Let's Get Ready to Bumble in GTA: San Andreas.
Ohhhhh now I understand the current topic more! It was more or less what you were already doing, but the Rapunzel arcade game in Catherine wasn't bad!

Or Death by Degrees...And Galaga!Who would forgot? You win Devil Kazuya by finisihng it.
Favorite carry-on critter. If they're a character that another character carries with them, they count.
I'll go with Snowball from Overwatch.
I'm sure people saw this one coming, but I love Kazooie! Nice that a character you carry around ends up being so useful!
Hmmm...let's go with Midna from Twilight Princess
The Black tail from Wobbuffet
Because of dat Pokédex entry .
Oh, oh, oh, oh! THE MONSTER BABY! Cherub from Doom 3.
This thing is the only enemy in Doom 3 that gave me the creeps.
Jeez, those demon babies from doom 3 were creepy. But speaking of babies. Favorite has to be Baby Mario.
Favorite war pet. An animal of combat prowess.
