So basically, you are saying that the only thing that people should care about this Kanji guy is his sexual orientation?

No, that's not what I meant.  The entire character is built around his father's final words to him, telling him to be strong.  So, the character's development is based around him trying to be as tough and masculine, because he thinks that is what his father meant.  However, in reality, he greatly enjoys some very "feminine" things, such as knitting and his sexuality itself is in question.  It leads to some great lessons about accepting yourself for who you really are.
His potential orientation simply adds a layer to that puzzle, but it is never the main focus of the character.  In fact, his true orientation is left a mystery, and the player is left to decide.  This has led to a lot of debate among Persona 4 fans as to the true nature of Kanji.
He's a really beautifully done character, all in all.

I think it makes a better character to think of his "gayness" as being confused because he's a teenager. He's a guy who likes  doing "unmanly" things like kitting (or was it sewing?) and the only person he's seen crushing on is Naoto Shirogane. There also the whole fact that Japan is really different in customs and (if I'm not wrong) being unmanly is seen as a bigger deal. So in my opinion, his character is more trying to understand himself and how he fits in a world that would consider him unmanly.

No real reason. I just like her.
Ah, Kanji slipped my mind! He's a favorite for me as well. At first with P4 vanilla I thought that he was confused, but showing signs of being straight. Then came Q and Golden.

In Q Kanji is pretty happy about it if you pick him to marry. In Golden he has some interesting dialogue in the dungeons when you have Yu wear certain outfits where it seems like Kanji is checking him out. This makes me lean more toward thinking that he's bisexual.

Whatever, really. I like that it's never outright said because at his age and with what he's got going on it will take time for Kanji to figure himself out.
Favorite Weeaboo/Wapanese/Japanophile (a non-Japanese person who is obsessed with Japanese culture and philosophies and thus considers himself a native from that country)

I'll choose Sodom from the Final Fight series.

oh.
Favorite badass disabled. You know those folks that doesn't let their fisical (or mental) disabilities get in the way of kicking ass? Yes, I'm talking about those.

Personally, I'll choose Baiken, the one-armed, one-eyed Samurai Ronin from the Guilty Gear series.

Bentley from Sly Cooper. He got crippled during the end of the second game, but he still has his brain power to help out Sly.

Hyakkimaru from Blood Will Tell. Poor dude has the majority of his body parts stolen by demons. You can get them back, but initially he's got a lot fake parts to move around and communicate with.

amputated arm, leg and a robotic prosthetic eye

Shame i did make fun of him.
It can be legit difficult telling which Overwatch characters are amputees and which are not as Pharah looks like she should be, but this has been debunked.

Torb's fair game though.

1 arm, 1 eye, and yet strong enough to defeat gods like Poseidon. Part of the reason that I fell in love with The Next Penelope: Race To Odysseus was the heroine, Penelope. Then I started speedrunning the game because I loved it so much.

Favorite Irregular Military.

Now, this may seem like a strange or hard to pin down one, but its a pretty common element. Think of this as the rebels, the terrorists, the special operations, the militia, the volunteer corps. Anyone who isn't part of the regular military.

I'm going with Squad 7 of the Gallian Militia's 3rd Regiment as seen in Valkyria Chronicles.
I'll go with the HECU from Half-Life.
