I can tell already Mega Metagross is something tons of people will carry around. I hope when a update comes around, they'll nerf him.
It's more likely that Megametagross will just get banned so they won't even bother. Not only are both of it's attack and defense stats really high, but it's speed allows it to go ahead of just about everything that can take it down. It isn't going to hold in tournaments being that OP and at the same time, people will cry foul if it's nerfed since mega evolution is supposed to give that much of a base stat increase.
Metagross isn't generally a speed type. It can be, sure. But it's usually not he first attacker in a double sets. I doubt this will be banned either. VGC rules don't ban these Pokemon, only the legendaries like Celebi and Shayman despite not being that good.
My theory is that Game Freak are trying to make a new metagame. I think at some point soon there will be a new mode called "Megas" which will let you use 6 Mega POkemon a team and then have a match based on that. It's the only reason I see Megas becoming more common. Obviously Smogon will ban then, but they aren't VGC.

I hate to say it but you are extremely behind, or at least you make it seem so. None legendaries have been banned like MegaKangashkan and MegaGengar. Also, what you say about MegaMetagross is simply untrue, it has a base speed of 110. That's gonna be hard to beat, especially given the already thin line of pokemon who can handle it now. MegaMetagross is already obviously going to fall into ubers, only to be banned unless something else new can find a way to counter it completely, and I don't see anything doing that.

If it plays out like Uzumaki I'd be down. Pokemon has had horror aspects in it that have never been truly tapped into yet, I'd like to see how that plays out.

If Gamefreak approved of the content I'm sure he'll have to follow at least some ties to the lore.
So I was looking at the thing for the demo code you get and it seems like you can obtain it anytime between now and the rest of the month. What I haven't seen is whether or not you still get whatever special thing you are supposed to get if you play everyday, if you don't get the demo code today. Has anyone seen anything that talks about that, cause I can't find anything about it.

Smogon isn't VGC.
MegaKangaskhan and MegaGengar aren't banned.
No one cares about VGC rules unless they are in a VGC tourny. Smogon's rules are used more.
