IIRC Sakura said that he didn't put one in this game because in Brawl, he wanted people to play the game to experience the cutscenes that you'd only see if you play, but people uploaded them to Youtube and other places online so anyone could see them without having to actually play the game. It pissed him off for some reason or another, and decided he wouldn't have a story like that in SSB4.

I wouldn't be surprised if he hates Smash to be honest. He wanted it to be a party game and it became a no fun for you competitive fighting game. He wanted people to play SSE to see the cutscenes but instead people uploaded them to Youtube.

Sakurai used to be a Street Fighter 2 tournament player too. But I think that it's hard to not be competitive on a game about winning and coming first.

I think he doesn't mind how the game is played with friends, he just hates the comp scene. (No Items, 3 Stock, Final Destination, Fox Only) shit like that.

I'm sure he's fine with competitive games if they had items on and shit, things that are part of the game.

He can't even remove the option to remove items even if he wanted to bring the game back to how he feels it should be. If he did millions of people just wouldn't buy it since they buy it for the comp scene and such.

Shitted the bed with FE Conquest. Had to restart because I made some crazy poor decisions that cost me half my units, now I'm on chapter 22 and I only had two marriages established thus far.

I'm also trying not to reset as much as I need to but damned is it tempting every time I am at a disadvantage.

Wish people wouldn't look back on the Wii U so harshly. Sure it was a marketing and financial flop, but the hardware was really unique and interesting and the games were fantastic, some of the best we've seen on a Nintendo system this century.

Iunno, I'm not really feeling the NX and just keep hearing people poo-pooing the U.

Jimmy Fallon shows off the Switch and Mario Run on his show.

Pretty interesting to see the Switch and BOTW running on it, but I'm more surprised by Jimmy. His reactions seem fake but at the same time real. I wonder if he actually is a fan of the games, or if he's just putting it on for the audience and the viewers at home?
