Here's a 22 minute short film that goes through different characters told in the form of animation. I'm just going to put the spoiler tag on it since its a tad violent.

It's hard to believe that this was actually pitched to DreamWorks and Pixar. Definetely going to watch this later, I'm a huge fan of Bakshi's stuff.
The other day I found out about a vaguely-known short made by the one and only Chuck Jones, "The Bear That Wasn't". It's based on an equally vaguely-known children's book of the same name by Frank Tashlin, and is meant to be a satire on how people tend to repeat a certain thing over and over expecting it to be true, when in reality it's anything but. Apparently Tashlin was not very fond of how Jones handled the book due to how he apparently distorted the message of it, but I still think it's worth a look regardless. I must warn you though, there's some pretty psychadelic imagery.
I actually heard that the book Frank Tashlin made was better compared to the cartoon, after it was produced, Frank never spoke to Chuck again after that. Chuck's later years after his post WB work kinda showed that he didn't have it in him anymore. Nobody just had the heart to tell him that his 'magic' was gone.

Really? I thought his Tom & Jerry shorts were good. Not great, but miles ahead of what Gene Dietch and Filmation had.
I stopped watching Courage the Cowardly Dog when CN made the stupid decision of demanding he speak less. I decided to start watching episodes from that last season here and there and I'm really surprised at what they got away with in the episode The Mask.

Yes, Courage is no stranger to being beat up, but what happens with Kitty is honestly too excessive for a kids' show. There's also domestic abuse between a dog and his girlfriend and I swear that Kitty and Bunny are meant to be lesbians. The ending shot of them celebrating their reunion and hugging each other tightly has Kitty saying "Now we can be best friends forever!" but there's way too many hints at her and Bunny have a romantic relationship.
Another clip from the Newgrounds i wanted to share with ya, this time isn't a stick fight animation, but rather...something different.

I don't know if anyone here has seen the documentary "Persistence of Vision", but it's a great documentary over the troubled, 30 year production of "The Thief And The Cobbler". I highly recommend it, gives a good display of how much work animation is. Also a unique look at the man Richard Williams and how much work he also put into training others.

I remember seeing the film(sadly the botched musical version) a few years ago, feeling very unimpressed by it. I later found out that the movie had a bit of a messed up production since Richard Williams was royally backstabbed by the studio when he failed to meet the deadline for the film. If you take a look in the background production of the film. Richard had a LOT of talented animators who worked on Thief and the cobbler. Such as Art Babbit(who animated on Disney's Bambi and Fantasia), Ken Harris(Who animated on Looney Tunes as well as Chuck jones's Grinch special), and  Roy nasisbitt to name a few of the many animators who worked on this film.

Personally. If you want to watch this movie. Watch the recobbled cut. That's the closest thing you can get to what Richard Williams wanted this film to be. This is a prime example(to me) on why studios shouldn't screw things up for animators. And I thought Ralph Bakshi had it rough when he was working with Paramount back in the day.
Yo, remenber Milton Pool? You know, that animator who worked on shows like Cartoon Network's Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi? He's now working on his own original animations. You can check some of his works below.

HHPAY was one of the worst shows to air on CN, but I have to say that these actually look pretty interesting.
I don't watch kid shows any more due to not appealing to me (even Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and the newer Power Rangers don't appeal to me), let alone normal TV shows (The Walking Dead and The Librarians are the only shows I watch). This short, however, has sparked an interest.

Aw shit, son!!!Young Justice to return for Season 3!!!

Now if only if they can bring back Super best friends Forever and Sym Bionic titan. I'll be freaking happy.
Is anyone else here a fan of the Madness Combat series? If the answer is yes, them i have a couple of questions for you:

1) What was your first exposure to the franchise?
2) Who's your favorite character?

In my case, it is something like this:

1) The flash game "Newgrounds Rumble" has the protagonist of the series (Hank) as a playable character, i though his desing was cool and i enjojed playing as him, so i checked his source series.
2) Sanford
