Rayman getting a little love, even as a trophy is nice.

I really hope Captain Falcon makes his way into this game though.

Does that mean Rayman is the new fighter? I mean, there wouldn't be any reason for Rayman to be in the game beyond him being a fighter.

Nope, it means exactly what the post says, he is just a trophy.

Also, don't forget that a new fighter is being announced in 7 hours.

I know that the post states that he is a trophy, it was just speculation considering Rayman is an Ubisoft character, and has been doing anything with Nintendo exclusively, so I just assumed that he may be the fighter announced tomorrow. Besides, Sakurai has gone out of his way to make sure we know that the trophy would be a playable character but here he didn't.

Well that was pretty good. Characters look fun to play.

That was a reveal if I have ever fucking seen one. I think that was 3 characters revealed at once. I think Chrom was either a part of someones Final Smash or he was an assist trophy.

I get the feeling this was supposed to be shown at EVO and some Nintendo rep was like "naaaah".

I'm a bit disappointed with Lucina. She just seems like Marth's clone, because she is using almost all of his same moves.

I don't play the games but wasn't that the point of her character? Marth without being Marth. It would make since that she was a clone.

They may have gotten a trophy for Rayman, but I would have loved to see him announced as a playable character.

Yeah, but Sakurai stated that he was going to get rid of clones, and considering the roster isn't going to be much bigger than Brawl, it's annoying to see what could be a costume for Marth take a character slot.

As soon as I saw Robin and Lucina I got a little upset. I keep thinking to myself whenever I see a new character reveal, "Where's Ness? Where's Mr. Game & Watch?" "Rob?" "Ice...Climbers?" At least Captain Falcon is returning.

I wouldn't be worried about the first two, but the other two are about 50/50 IMO.
