I hope that none of you Texans on this forum were close to that explosion. Bloody hell...
Pretty scary. Surprised by the number of deaths from it.

Us Houstonians were 2 1/2-3 hours away, so we're ok.

"People walking out of a restaurant more than 2 miles away said they were blown back and knocked down by the force of the blast."

And guessing by the video Cingchris posted, those two people in the car probably have eardrum damage. I can only imagine the force of the blast at its epicentre...

Glad to hear it !
If anyone here is from North Texas (Dallas-ish) please stay indoors as much as possible with the windows closed. Reports say there is extremely high winds blowing in your direction, and they haven't analyzed the quality of the air yet. It can't be good though.

I don't know if anyone here is actually from there, but I'm posting this just in case.
"Hey Steve, we need a video of a cat in a shark costume on a roomba chasing a duckling."

^ Heh. My new sig is amazing, isn't it?

Also, I love active ask blogs. This awesome Waluigi one I found answered my request right away!

We in Katy should be pretty good assuming this cold front doesn't pull a fast one on us, bring the air our way. Its terrible news, though I gotta say that I find it so surprising that people are surprised. It was a nitrogen factory by premise.

I just hope this isn't something to be repeated.

Seriously, what the hell is up with this temperature drop today? And yeah, I hope the winds don't change.

You got's a tumblr, eh? Mind me asking the URL?
I don't know about you, but our drop in temp caused a blizzard to roll through.

...In April.

It's nothing special. I just reblog stuff I think is funny and tell stupid stories.
So I think I figured out what it was I didn't like about Tumblr... I've been initially resistant to most "web 2.0" sites, because they seem to put each individual in the center of their own universe, without regard to the rest of the world. But Tumblr seems to do this even moreso. It seems like Tumblr actively discourages meaningful communication between members--have you ever seen a way to send personal messages? Sure if someone has the Ask Anything enabled, you can just use that, but that just seems to push you even further into your own universe, because it separates you from the masses. It's "me, the one with answers", and "everyone else, with questions". Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I like the idea of "for the greater good".
^ I just have one mostly to favorite images. I take no part in all the weird drama and morons that post on there. I did once my accident when I posted something some lady shit her pants over, so now I post figures or reblog animals that no one can get upset about.
Now here's a couple of gifs of cats being just plain goofy.

Yes, I know there's a whole other thread for it. But they're cute and they should brighten up anyone's day.
I'm afraid nothing is going to make me happy until this damn snow is gone. It's mid April for goodness sake and it's snowing worse than it did in December!
