Pluto is one of my favorite manga series now. Even though I know next to nothing of Astro Boy, it's the best work that I have seen when it comes to dealing with AI/Robots and the topic of how emotions and society can greatly influence them, with the opposite applying as well. Plus, there's some pretty heart breaking scenes in there with some great action-y scenes as it offers much.
Pretty swimming men are saving the anime industry. If you're on tumblr or one of those places, I'm sure someone has linked a picture if someone is an anime fan on there.

On the pokemon note, I think they could reboot really well, have you seen the Black and White 2 Anime-style trailer? It looks way better than the crap they've got in the anime now.

That was amazing. My eyes and ears have never been so pleased my entire life.

Yes! I agree completely! I'm just hoping a lot of the staff are tired of the show and either want to quit or do something new.

Pokemon MMO anyone?

I meant the staff making the anime, getting tired of Pokemon and willing to put the focus on new anime.

Except that you do know that it has gone through multiple directors, writers, composers, producers, voice actors, and even animation studios, correct? It hasn't been the same people through out the the last 10+ years and many of those have moved on into different works.
I, too, have been thinking that a new Pokémon show, more based on the games, would be pretty awesome. Especially after seeing the B/W trailers.

Onto news from my own life, I'm so friggin' thankful that the Aizen saga has finally gotten to an end in the Bleach manga in here. Now I can finally stop buying this crap. We also got the final Gon book and while I did love that one now there's one less manga I have to pay for. Oh, and after years of waiting we finally got Nekomajin, which is Akira Toriyama's own spinoff to Dragonball. Now I just gotta read that before the comics I ordered arrive.
Just found out A Certain Magical Index had a dub, that was released on DVD and no one seems to want to upload it, even though it's been out for a year.

It's kind of weird to see all the characters speaking English, I watched a few scenes, even the Touma vs Accelerator fight, and everyone sounded different, but not terrible I guess.

I may re-watch it with the dub, re-watching it might help me understand the story more, and it will be in English.

Either that or things get more confusing if anything is lost in translation.
As much as people like to complain about dubs (usually some elitists), dubs are much better to what they were 10 years ago as they're really great at keeping everything in tact and matching the voices with the character.

Well, from the small amount I've seen of the dub.

Onee-Sama was changed to Sissy, which is kind of weird, and sort of doesn't make sense. I had to google Sama to know that it means a great respect for someone older than you, usually a sister. But the character that uses it, isn't the sister of the character that she is referring to. So that's kind of odd.

And Ability User has changed to Esper, even though that Esper came from English viewers, sort of like how G-Man came about from the fans.

That's about it, to be honest, all other changes are minor, like "Street Fight" changed to "Fist fight".

Oh, and it doesn't matter, it is already confusing. I usually have to check up on the Wiki for it. I literally just found out why the main character has bad luck yesterday, after going through 2 seasons, and half a spin off.
You're right, the series is confusing as hell as it is. I haven't checked any of the stuff online, though, because I honestly just don't care.

English, maybe, but you should see about half of our Finnish dubs. Jesus Christ the Despicable Me 2 commercials are painful to watch because of the terrible voice acting. I'm so glad that the first movie they showed on TV was only subbed.

Well we're talking about English dubs, and I myself, preferring to watch dub over sub, haven't seen any real problems with the dubs, I mean I do have some nit-picky problems with the English dubs, but they all make sense, so in the end I don't mind. One of the nit-picky problems I have is that they do change the script a bit as to not confuse English speaking viewers, so like we discussed earlier, they called onigiri donuts in Pokemon, two completely different things, and I've almost never seen any honorific usage outside of sensei and honorifics are used very often in Japanese speaking.
