So what, in that case Mira and Towa are actually married with a kid named Fuu, Mira really does end up in control of Earth and Vegeta and Goku really do seem to kill each other in a fight at some point? That's all a little hard to accept honestly.

See, that's part of what makes Online hard to dispute. Its a story about correcting the paths of time. You go back to events and fix them. Its got that multiverse thing going on for it. That's where Xenoverse falls in. Its all a story about correcting and realigning the timelines. Something can happen and be true but in no way apply to the current situation.

But isn't by that logic every incarnation of DragonBall officially canon? That would include the debated GT.

I'd say yes and no to that because Toriyama himself said GT wasn't cannon. It doesn't mean however that some elements of it weren't taken and placed into Online, which means they'd only be cannon if there were in Online.

But if a multiverse theory is in place and it is canon that the show has multiple continuities there should be no point in anyone arguing is GT canon or not. It might not be canon with the main franchise but with the multiverse clause, it could just be "Earth #2356". Kind of like how the Trunks storyline is all kinds of fucked up.

I guess it all depends on perspective and the decision on part of the series creators. They actually acknowledge GT in Xenoverse as being part of a wormhole dimension or something along the lines of that. It only really acknowledges the events on Tuffle and Earth, but those are the most popular parts of GT anyway.

If my understanding is correct, the events of GT, and most of the movies are not considered canon, but are not excluded from the possibility of later becoming canon. For the movies, its partly because with the time setting they're based on, Goku and pals would actually be winning against an enemy stronger than main villain of the month.
Okay, now I'm really not understanding Evangelion.

Shinji watched Rei squeeze water out of a rag and then told her a few hours later that she was watching her squeeze that rag because it reminded him of how a mother would do it and then proceeded to say that Rei would be a great mother.

Then, we find out that it was the 11th anniversary of Shinji's mothers death, he laments over her grave with his father then goes home. Several hours after that, Asuka asks him to kiss her because she's bored, when Shinji refuses she then tries to convince him by saying "What, are you afraid to kiss a girl on the anniversary of your mother's death?"

There's less action than there ever was before. Well, less fighting action but more "action" action.

I mean, I'm 15 episodes in right now, the series ends at 26. Not a lot is going on sans an Angel every episode.

I kind of feel the same way. I'm 10 episodes in and most of what this show has going for it is awkward teen moments and awesome robot fights with awkward teen moments. But it's all worth it for those lovely, lovely mechs...

Yeah, I mean I like it and all but sometimes I'm just confused to what is happening and then out of nowhere we're having an Angel fight.

The one thing I don't like is how EVERYTHING is an Angel.

Nerv getting hacked IT'S AN ANGEL
One of the Eva's malfunctioning IT'S AN ANGEL
Somethings in the water IT'S AN ANGEL

I mean, I get that they're the bad guys but there couldn't be an epsiode where it's actually an elite hacker, or someone controlling an Eva to attack other people, or a spy in Nerv's base. It'd be somewhat interesting to have change rather than.

It's an angel
Go kill the angel
Yay, we killed the angel
*Fly me to the Moon plays

Also, best song.

Any thoughts on the fact that Digimon Adventure Tri will be a film series instead of an episodic anime show? They have announced that there will be six movies in total. I loved the original Digimon film(s) so I can't wait to see how this pans out.

Oh, and I just finished watching Digimon Data Squad. The last episode was sooooo sad when all the digimon had to go back to the digital world, perhaps forever. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing this series get a continuation too but since they have pushed Tri back until November I guess I'll just go through Xros Wars and the rest of the movies in the meantime.

I think I'll watch the Data Squad movies tomorrow, to quench my need for a continuation. I'm a bit afraid Xros Wars won't reach the high standard set by Data Squad (although the Adventure series will still always be my favorite).

I have not seen an episode of digimon in forever. I'd like to see the new movies, even if they don't get traslated. It'd be pretty cool to see but isn't if ironic to have six films in a series called Digimon Adventure Tri?

Speeking of not getting translated, I started watching the Persona 3 movies as I play the game to compare them. I expected to like any of them as much. After the first movie, I can say that it does a better job with the characters and plot points IMO. It makes me wish that the team would translate it just to have an English dub. I'm expecting to see it when Movie 4 comes out next year.....and when pigs fly.

It's called Tri because it's the third "season" of Digimon Adventure.
Well I finished Eva and the best way to describe it is...

Also, for a second there Spoiler:I believed Shinji somehow retconned the entire fucking series through the power of his mind or something when Asuka went to wake him up.

Still, now I want to watch more 90's anime that was a staple for Anime back then.
I just love it when a show's episode title completely spoils the twist in it. A lot of anime does this with their ridiculously long episode titles that are often two sentences long.

I hate when game achievements do that.

I just want to look at the achievements and see how weird or wacky they may be. I don't want to be see a spoiler for the boss of the final game, but thank MGS3 HD collection.
