Title is self-explinatory.

From the little we could hear she is on point. I bet Ms. Tsuru herself would be proud (R.I.P)

Don't know if anyone but me cares, but Tonegawa is getting an anime adaption.

For those unsure, he was a main antagonist in the first season of Kaiji, and for some reason he got a manga spinoff where he fucks around with his underlings but drawn in very Kaiji-esque ways, such as forgetting someone's name and then crying because he's too embarrassed to ask it again in a similar manner to Kaiji when he gambles. I haven't read it myself, but from small manga pages he goes bowling and there's a picture of him and the chairmen of the company running around playfully, so it's definitely a comedic thing.

This literally came out of left field and is quite exciting to know.

Perfect timing.
So for a while now I've been wanting to watch Yawara!: A fashionable judo girl. But never really got the chance. I knew about it since 2015 but never really read it, and along with that I watched the first episode of the anime sometime in 2016 at the anime soc, but I never really did anything about it.

Just before Christmas break, our anime soc had another week where the first episode of Yawara got in, and I decided that I'd finally get around to watching it. I downloaded all the episodes and put a few on my phone for when I was going to go home in my dad's car. I watched two more episodes, and left it at that. This was the 11th of December.

When I had to go back I decided it was a good time to watch more episodes of Yawara, and watched 5 more (since it was a 2 hour trip) and pushed it up to 8 episodes.

Now I'm a terrible person when it comes to watching anime, and I've found it very difficult to even sit still for 20 minutes, let alone give something my attention, especially when it's boring/setting up a story or I'm just not doing anything (such as eating food) so I never expected to really finished it and it'd probably be on my MAL for years since it was 124 episodes long and I had just barely finished 8 of them.

That was until I decided that I WAS going to finish this, and gave myself a goal. To finish it before my birthday on the 3rd of March. I began to watch more episodes on the 21st, and started on the 9th episode. By the end of the month I was on the 35th episode, and now 21 days later I'm on episode 101, with only 23 to go, and 9 days left, it should be fine. I've been averaging around 3-5 episodes a day.

I'm honestly surprised with myself, as I never EVER watch anime to this extent, let alone finish something THIS long. It's almost sad that it's nearly over, it's been a staple to watch several episodes every day for the past month, and soon it'll be over.

It's a pretty great anime to be honest, it has it's ups and downs but mainly ups. It's more a Romance, Drama, Slice of Life, Comedy than it is a Sports anime. I'd say the split is around 60/40, but damn it can really do both perfectly. If you've got some time to spare, I'd give it a watch, it's really good.

I also love the OP.

Another interesting side note is that, I decided to watch Monster after I finished Yawara since it's been on my watch list for a while and I never wanted to due to it's length, so now I'll be able to. Along with this I also started reading a manga called Happy, about a girl who was pushed into a lot of debt, and is trying to pay it off by getting back into Tennis as she was once a prodigy that had to give it up to take care of her siblings.

What's interesting is that ALL three of these were made by the same person. Naoki Urusawa, and I didn't even notice until I wanted to see who created Yawara, and saw it was all the same.
Pop Team Epic is really weird. At the same time, the male voices for the girls are the Japanese VA's for Cell and Frieza, so I can't help but watch it anyway. Pretty funny even if some of its hit or miss.
A day late to the party, but the Hunter x Hunter manga started serialization on Weekly Shonen Jump 20 years ago.... 14 of those years being composed of different (non-consecutive) periods of hiatus. No wonder it eventually got it's "Hiatus x Hiatus" nickname.

As someone who got into the series around mid-to-late 2014 I don't really have anything to say other than it has become my second favorite manga/anime series of all time (it used to be on first place until I discovered certain manga later on), that and the Hisoka vs Chrollo fight being my favorite portion of HXH so far. I never would have imagined that so many years of hype would actually pay off so well. Totally worth the wait.

EDIT: as for how I got into the series. Well, I have some vague memories of a Youtuber mentioning the name. I thought it sounded cool and that's it. I jumped into the series while knowing next to nothing about it other than "there's some child looking for his father". Needless to say that increased my overall enjoyment.
I can't believe it took me this long to realize that "Gohan Blanco" and similar memes were created in order to make fun of the Spanish Youtube community of Dragon Ball with their outrageous thumbnails and ridiculous expectations for Son Gohan (there's also Shaggy, but that one has a different origin).

While we are on the subject of Dragon Ball I'm just going to leave this here.

I've watched this masterpiece over 20 times yesterday without getting tired of it. Send help.

EDIT: according to the video description, the footage above is from the Malaysian English dub of Movie 7.
Rurouni Kenshin Creator Nobuhiro Watsuki Fined 200,000 Yen for Possession of Child P***

Fuck that guy, honestly.

444 days have passed and Vento Aureo is still not confirmed...
^

Don't feel too bad, it just means you've still got enough time to spoil it for all the anime watchers instead of superior manga readers.
