Throwback Thursday!
Remenber Teen Titans Battle Blitz?
"Bro, why are you posting this here. This is a flash game" - So? It is still a fighting game. Not the one with the most depth, of course. But it's still a FG.
Tanzong uploaded a new KOF recap. The King of Fighters XIII.
Unless he does the story of SNK Heroines, this will be the last video until the release of KOF XV.
Also, SNK uploaded this.
From the video description:

Terry and Andy Bogard are NOT related by blood. They became brothers after Jeff adopted them.
I just remenbered that one fan hypothesis that's been going on since the 90s that says that Geese Howard is Terry and Andy's real father. So far SNK has neither confirmed or denied that fan theory. We just have to wait and see.
Anyway, here are my two cents regarding that fan theory: Is he Terry's real father? No. Is he Andy's real father? Maybe. The resemblance is there.
Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia have been confirmed for The King of Fighters XV. A double character reveal!
Ryo, Robert, and King are the menbers of Team Art of Fighting.
EDIT 2: Man, Ryo looks so wide. Granted, all male characters are more muscular compared to their KOF XIV counterparts, but Ryo's the one who got the bigger gains. Good thing it's not "KOF XIII Ralf and Clark" levels of beefy. Also, where's Ryo's neck?
EDIT:

Here's some context for those who are confused: Back in 2018, it was revealed that Ryu would become a ranger in the Power Rangers: Legacy Wars mobile game. Chun-Li joined him in 2019. This is a continuation of that crossover.
Here's Chun-Li's trailer for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid.
A trailer showcasing Leona Heidern's gameplay in The King of Fighters XV has dropped.
She was among the firsts characters to be revealed for the game, and now she has her own trailer. Finally. The only previously revealed character in need of a trailer is NESTS saga protagonist K'.
Daigo Umehara reports that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-quarantining

This is a tech demo for Virtua Fighter 3 that was showcased in the Amusement Machine Operators' Union (AOU) Show in 1996.
This was a year after the release of the PS1... this was also before Quake, before the Nintendo 64, and even before the 3DFX Voodoo 1 were released. Yet here we have a game with real-time graphics that looked like an early PS2 game. Think about that for a minute.
Of course, being so powerful meant that the price for a single Model 3 arcade board was enormous.
While we are still at it, let me remind you that back in the day, fighting games were THE cutting edge graphics showcases, together with racers and shmups/Shoot 'em ups, genres that were really popular in arcades. Be the 2D ones (SNK and Capcom entries mostly) or 3D (Sega, Tecmo and sometimes Namco). That was during times when arcades not only were more powerful than home systems, but also popular enough. That's no longer the case tho, what with arcades going niche and consoles/PC becoming the new gfx showcases - mostly PC, they were always ahead of consoles in that regard. The spot that originally belonged to fighting games, racers and shmups as the 'cutting edge graphics showcases' was filled by other genres like FPS.
This was specially the case with Virtua Fighter, as those games were intended from the very begining to double as tech demos. A video game that also doubles as a tech demo. Pretty cool, huh? An FPS example is Crysis.
I know there are modern fighting games out there that are graphically impressive, but those are more of an exception rather than the norm.
EDIT: Yes, I know graphics and visuals aren't everything. But hey, there's nothing wrong with talking about it from time to time.
Ralf Jones and Clark Still have been confirmed for The King of Fighters XV. Another double character reveal. These two along with Leona are Team Ikari Warriors.
Yeah, this team formation doesn't really shatter expectations. You know what shattered my expectations, tho? That Metal Slug stage! Notice how there isn't a single Metal Slug character in the background? I don't want to be too hopeful for the inclusion of Marco Rossi in KOF, but this doesn't exactly help. LOL. Then again the game is still in development and they could add those background cameos later on. Who knows?
I like how they kept Ralf and Clark's designs from XIV intact. Those are pretty good designs.
