I bought an X-Box for Halo back in the day. Of course by that point in time the X-Box was a dying breed and the X-Box One was only about a year or two out from release.
I got it for $100 (new).
I bought a Gamecube, too (also new) for $60 so that I could play MGS: Twin Snakes. I wound up playing Baten Kaitos: Origins more than Twin Snakes. But I did beat Twin Snakes twice to get both endings (prior to that I had only gotten the Otacon ending in the PS version, because I wanted the inviso-gadget).

It's a hot fucken mess with Barely any content.
The game had 4 betas and doesn't even work. This is pretty unacceptable.
In terms of gameplay it's great but ypu can't play offline and earn fight money.
What the hell happened?
GGs
The offline no money thing is a byproduct of their dlc earning system. Its the way they make sure people aren't just cheating for infinite money. Its had quite the rippling effect it seems.
Streaming on Twitch right now. Come join in for some GGs

Like is said, most games at laucn are unplayable in one way or another, Capcom already fixed some of these issues and addressed the remaining ones:

The latest KOF XIV trailer is out (the game is looking better and better!)
When Guilty Gear Xrd came out on PC, it was very difficult to play for decent periods of time because of a pretty bad memory leak issue. Had to get tourneys postponed almost 2 months on the casual level.

That's the same as saying "it's OK for us to release a game broken because everyone else does". As a consumer there is no benefit to you in sticking up for a company that has released a product not fit for sale.
Capcom dun fucked up. After 4 betas there are no excuses not just for a shoddy online launch(which I still can barely access) but for how lacking in content it is.
Capcom even admitted the game was pushed out early to meet FGC practicing times fot Evo.
Plus that 6gig update
FUCK, looks like i didn't express myself properly. I was going to say something among the lines of "then good news for you, because capcom is getting thier shit toghether and they are fixing the servers" or some thing like that. I don't know what happenned there.

Actually, it was because Capcom Cup, but that being said seriously, if you knew about that, then why did you buy the game in the first place? No offense, but it's your fault for buying the game and not waiting until March or something.
Also, what the heck is an "6gig" anyway??
ok, so, moving on, someone here has the "Street Fighter x Tekken artworks" artbook? I need some screenshots for a trivia submission. To be more specific, i need screenshots of the comment sections of Dhalsim and Guile.

6 Gigabyte update, I imagine was what they were getting at.
Aaaannnnnnndd another "mainstream" reviewer recommends not buying SFV yet.
Now, here's my opinion on the subject: Capcom wanted to attract more new people with this release but instead they decided to cut content and rush out the game, so it's present at Capcom Cup. But that will only be watched by hardcore fans and won't reach any new people. The tutorial is nothing more than a button check. The story is non-existent at this point, so there is no way for new players to care about the characters. New players will want to practice before getting bodied online but there is no way to fight the CPU in a proper versus match and not even an Arcade mode which has been standard since the 80's. So in the end, they only catered to the core audience which does not mind spending 60 bucks on what's essentially a multiplayer only title currently. The rest of the world expects more for a triple A release.
Also, I'm fully aware that the guys of Capcom thenselves admitted the lack of content at launch but that doens't really help since people are going to buy it and complain anyway (either that or they are not caught up with the news). *sigh* If only they postponed the game's launch by a couple of months it would have better reception.

Because either way the game was still published at a full retail price tag. Whether you knew the game was quickly rushed or not doesn't mean that it's OK to excuse how bad the game is on launch.
In terms of gameplay then we're fine. I like the Gameplay (prefer Third Strike and 4) but it functions and works. But the everything else is just a mess. Even myself as someone who plays competitively and in tournaments, it's still not a way to sell a game

Nah but it does look nice. Regardless of how bad the game was.....yeah it's worth picking up. Capcom have been doing this a lot lately with others titles like DMC 3142. Gonna pick this up anyway.

Angry Joe has a fair point, as I said, if you pay full price for a game only for it to be updated later, there is no reason as a consumer to stick up for this. In terms of gameplay (which I can speak confidently on) then we're fine, but in terms of content, online components and strange game decisions then we have a problem. It's a good game just surrounded by so much unnecessary rubbish. I am genuinely enjoying it but I could only recommend to the person that sits in their room til 3am on ranked or in training room practicing setups. It is a good game.
