Took a shine to Under Night In-Birth. Seriously underrated and have both the PS4 and Switch version.

I am by no means a lover of anime fighting games and it is a niche genre that I dismissed because I find the character design or aesthetic laughable. Guilty Gear being the primary example(though I do acknowledge that the series is good but it isn't something that appeals to me.)

Under Night In-Birth on the other hand really struck a chord with me. The overall presentation of the game is next level and how they balance the characters in design, abilities, and personality actually made me like the roster instead of the usual meh attitude I get when it comes to anime characters.

Highly recommend, the training mode is pretty damn good and the the difficulty curve is just right for newbies.

The online is shit tho :/
Jiren is the latest addition to the Hyper Dragon Ball Z roster.

BANDAI NAMCO ENTERTAINMENT TO PUBLISH “Guilty Gear -Strive-“ IN EUROPE AND ASIA

Happy 10th anniversary to The Juri Han Song by MizukiTenkou (Rina-chan)!

The original upload was set to "private" for unknown reasons.

Here's a lyrics video.

For those who don't know: Rina-chan = Kira Buckland, they are the same person. Back in the day, Kira Buckland/Rina-chan was the only girl on the internet with a microphone. She was EVERYWHERE. The lack of competition gave her tons of opportunity to practice with tons of different roles. Considering where she is now, her efforts paid off. She voiced 2B in NieR: Automata, for Pete's sake!

When people said "There are no girls on the internet" it used to end with "except Rina-chan".
Happy 25th anniversary, Savage Reign! (April 25)

Skullgirls receives an improved netcode update initially created by a fan of the game

EDIT: Code Mystics, the developer behind the recent Garou: Mark of the Wolves rollback netcode update, announced that the Steam version of The Last Blade 2 now has a rollback netcode beta that users can opt into.

Code Mystics Wrote:Last Blade 2 Rollback Netcode Beta

Hi everyone, so we'd been planning an update to Last Blade 2 to incorporate the rollback netcode update, as had been done in Samurai Shodown V Special, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, and King of Fighter '97 Global Match. It was ready for QA, but due to the COVID-19 situation, the ability to get the game through testing and out into the public stalled.

Speaking with SNK, we agreed that rather than letting the game sit in limbo for the foreseeable future, why not release the beta and Code Mystics could work with the community to address any issues that pop up?

So, if you're interested in participating, right click on THE LAST BLADE 2 in your library and select Properties, then go to the Beta tab and enter the Beta Access Code "StayAtHome2020" (without the quotes). Then click "Check Code". You'll see "deliverable - 2020 rollback update" appear above in the "Select the beta you would like to opt into" list.

A few things to note:

1. The beta can only match against other people running the beta. The main (un-updated) branch will not see games hosted by the beta nor vice versa. (Invites between the beta and non-beta versions may connect but have unpredictable results. We don't recommend trying that, please.)

2. Though the code is based on the same retrofit that SSVS got, so we're pretty confident in it, please be gentle on us :) as, again due to work restrictions, this has officially gotten a lot less testing than previous launches.

3. Sony fans, don't fret: once we're confident the beta is stable, we'll be issuing the same update to the PS4 version. But unfortunately, due to work restrictions, a Vita patch will have to wait until that restriction is lifted. Unfortunately, in the interim, once the PS4 version is patched, crossplay between PS4 and Vita will not be available until the Vita version is also updated.

Anyway, we hope people enjoy our update, and let us know what you think!

The first details for EVO Online have been revealed.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, Killer Instinct (2013), Skullgirls 2nd Encore and Them's Fightin' Herds will seemingly be the only widespread events for players to join for EVO Online, and all of them have one thing in common: well-implemented rollback netcode.

In order to celebrate Goku Day, DBFZ will be adding special manga-styled costume colors for three of Goku 's forms currently in the game.

Here's a closer look at those costumes thanks to people who got the update early.

Ultra Instinct Goku is coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ on May 22.

'It's official, we're back' — Killer Instinct Cup 2020 announcement imminent

EDIT: unrelated, but remenber how four years ago Capcom promised a native Linux port for Street Fighter V and they never delivered? I do, and I also remenber how people were like "Holy shit, this is the first time a AAA fighting game is gonna be released on Linux!". Yet here we are... C'mon Capcom, at least explain why the Linux port was canceled.

P.S I put the emphasis on AAA because Skullgirls is an indie game.
