I do, and I also remenber how people were like "Holy shit, this is the first time a AAA fighting game is gonna be released on Linux!". Yet here we are... C'mon Capcom, at least explain why the Linux port was canceled.
P.S I put the emphasis on AAA because Skullgirls is an indie game.

It's been now five years and there's no sign of either the Linux port or an explanation as to what happened to it.
Godammit, Capcom.
Power Instinct 4: Matrimelee is gonna turn 20 years old in 2023.
I know I said this before, but 2023 is also the 30th anniversary of the Power Instinct series itself.
Have you guys heard of this game called Yatagarasu? For those who don't know or don't remenber, Yatagarasu (AKA Legend of Raven) is an indie fighting game for PC. This fighter has a 6 button control scheme, features a parry system, supers, throws, move cancels and more. Additionally, MCZ|Tokido, Kokujin and KSK provide in-game commentary and react to your play style.
Yes, you read that right. This game has a parry system.
In mid-2013,
Nyu Media ran an Indiegogo fundraiser to pay for a sequel, Yatagarasu: Attack on Cataclysm. The fundraiser was a complete success.
NyuMedia Wrote:Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm is the 7 year labor of love by 3 former SNK / King of Fighters staff. Thanks to the support of the fighting game community, a highly successful crowdfunding campaign, and huge support at Steam Greenlight, Yatagarasu AoC will release in fall 2014 on Steam and other PC digital distributors.
The game is not available on home consoles.
You know how in video games in general (including fighting games) there are plenty of old dudes but barely any old ladies? And I mean ACTUAL old ladies, as opposed to 200 year-old loli vampires. This video showcases them.
Spoiler:And of course, most of the fighters in this list are from the Power Instinct series

'09er. This term was used as an insult towards those who joined the FGC in 2009 because of the console versions of Street Fighter IV (the game released on arcades a year prior). It was used in a similar vein to n00b and newbie. BTW, do people still use n00b??
Speaking of 2009, remenber Indestructible? There are two versions of the song, one in Japanese and one in English. The English features Flo Ri Da.
